- Placing a personal ad: Placing a personal ad is a two step process. The first is to become a member of AskPUG.com by clicking on the Join button. There is no charge to becoming a member. Once you have created your member account you will be able to login to member control where you may place your free personal ad.
- Placing a photo with your personal ad: You must have an image file in .jpg format. Photos may be taken with a digital camera and then saved to .jpg format. You can also create an image by using a scanner to scan a photo and then save it in the .jpg format. The image should not be larger then 300h x 250w and no larger than 20k. Make sure you crop and compress the image to this maximum size or we will do it for you.
You can then login to member control and edit your personal ad. At the bottom of the page there is an option to upload the photo to our server. Click on the browse button and a dialog box will appear (note: if you do not see a browse button then your browser does not support file upload capability. You must be using netscape 2.0+ or Internet Explorer 4.0+). Select the image and then click on the upload photo button. Your photo will then be displayed to the screen if everything has worked properly.
- Deleting your personal ad: login to member control and edit your personal ad. Change the status At the bottom of the page to InActive and then click on the save button. Your personal ad will no longer display. Your ad will not be deleted from the system until your entire membership is set to InActive and 180 days have passed. At this time your entire account will be deleted from the system.
- Searching through personal ad: You may use the simple search located on the personal ads home page or the power search. The only difference is in the number of search options that are available to you. Each option allows you to select the appropriate information about the type of person you are looking for. Once all the persons characteristics have been selected the click on the search button. Remember the more options selected may result in not finding someone.
- Emailing Someone: Emailing a person requires a premier membership. You must first join AskPUG.com and then upgrade your membership in member control.
Once your premier membership is established you can search our ads for someone to email that meets the characteristics of the person you are looking for. You will be presented with a screen displaying partial information about the person. You may then click on the persons photo or name to see their complete profile. A button will be displayed on both pages allowing you to email this person. Click on the button and fill out the email form. Your message will then be sent to the person. You will be able to pick up any messages that are emailed to you from member control.
- Problems Emailing Someone: The first thing to do is to make sure you are logged in. If you click on the login link You will be taken to the screen that will log you into member control. If you see your username and password already filled in then you are logged into the system. The next step is to login and check your premier membership status. Their may have been a problem with your credit card when billing for your premier membership. Click on the premier member button on the navigation bar after you login. Check the next billing date and make sure it is today or later. If not fix your credit card information and click on the activate account button. If your are still having problems make sure your browser is accepting cookies.
- Other Agencies: Other marriage or personal ad agencies are welcome to use our service. The following stipulations apply; You must be running a legitimate business. all men or women placed on our site must have full knowledge and consent to placing ads with our service. All email messages must be delivered to the person and answers sent back by using our email system. We have built this system with other agencies in mind. You need only enter one member account and then add all of the profiles using that account. Each profile can be assigned a unique name when they are entered.
